Pick a page. Make it yours.

Simple designs have larger spaces. Detailed designs have smaller shapes and more repetition.

Open Petals

Wide flower petals and a generous open border. A good place to start when you want larger spaces to color.

A small idea: Choose two colors for the petals and leave the space between the rings white.

Diamond Weave

Nested diamonds and slim geometric bands create smaller spaces. Work through one repeating section at a time.

A small idea: Color the inner diamond in each pair first, then decide whether to fill the surrounding shape.

Layered Rosette

Three bands of petals, small circles and a scalloped border. Choose one band for a short coloring session.

A small idea: Repeat the same three colors in each petal ring, or leave one entire band uncolored.

Paper, pencils, a little time

  1. Download one PDF, or save the six-page collection.
  2. Open the file in a browser or PDF reader. Choose the page you want to print.
  3. Select portrait orientation and Fit to page for A4 or US Letter paper.
  4. Print a test page. Begin with pencils or crayons; test markers on your chosen paper first.

A gentle beginning

Choose by the spaces.

If you want fewer small decisions, try Open Petals or Lotus Rings. If you enjoy repeating little details, try Diamond Weave or Layered Rosette. There is no need to finish the whole page in one sitting.

The PDFs keep the outlines sharp when printed. The PNGs contain just the square design, ready to open in a drawing tool that supports image imports.

Before you begin

A few useful answers.

Are these mandala coloring pages free?

Yes. All six designs and the six-page PDF are free to download and print for personal or classroom use. No account, email address or payment is required for these files.

Which mandala should a beginner choose?

Start with Open Petals or Lotus Rings if you prefer larger spaces and fewer details. Begin with one ring and two or three colors. You can leave the rest of the page for another day.

How do I print a mandala coloring page?

Open a PDF in your browser or PDF reader. Select portrait orientation and Fit to page, then print on A4 or US Letter paper. The files are laid out on A4; Fit to page keeps the design inside Letter paper margins too. You can print one page from the collection or download a single design.

What is the difference between the PDF and PNG files?

The PDF is a print layout with a title, margins and vector line art. The PNG is a 1600 by 1600 pixel image of just the design. Use the PNG in a drawing tool that supports opening images; check that tool’s import options first.

Can I color these exact designs in MoodMirror?

This collection is provided as downloadable files for printing or use in a compatible drawing tool. MoodMirror has its own drawing and coloring experience. The app link opens MoodMirror; it does not load these downloadable designs into the app.

Another way to make a little space
